Fire Prevention Systems Design

Fire prevention systems Design is one of our main activities; fire systems and their components are essential elements for the safety of every building and need to work properly to ensure end-users peace of mind.

We are strongly committed in Fire prevention Design and our primary goal is to prevent any fire activity, to ensure people safety, the protection property and the environment.

For each fire prevention project, we identify the most suitable technical solution to guarantee these objectives, integrating our fire-fighting systems skills with constant training and knowledge of the most advanced technologies in the field of detection and alarms firefighting. KITE Engineering assumes full responsibility for the assessment of the fire risk on behalf of Customers: we commit with the utmost competence and preparation in carrying out all the necessary activities and services.

Fire prevention and detection systems goals

Fire prevention systems and all prevention activity carried out by our qualified engineers, require identifying fire dangers of the building or industrial plant, analysing and evaluating environmental conditions and fire risks, allowing the planning of fire emergency management. We develop our fire prevention and fire-detection systems to guarantee stability to all load-bearing structures, reducing the spread of fire and smoke, ensuring safety for the people and firefighters. From the preliminary stage of the fire prevention project, we collaborate with the architectural and structural designers to make the work compliant with fire prevention regulations and the requirements of the local fire brigade command with whom we are in contact, in order to obtain the relevant pre-validation and final validation opinions for the fire certifications.

Fire Prevention Certificate: application and renewal

In order to obtain the Fire Prevention Certificate and renewal by the Fire Brigade, as per prescriptions and standards on fire prevention, we carry out the following activities:

  • Project tables with the identification of the layout, escape routes and emergency exits, active and passive fire protection devices, in accordance with Italian, British, NFPA legislation and the International Fire & Building Code.

  • Fire load evaluation, admissible fire loads, safety systems devices, storage areas and any further prescription required by the Fire Brigade.

  • Technical report fill-up for presentation to the Fire Brigade.

  • Preliminary meetings at the Fire Brigade Command for the sharing of the fire prevention project and regulations.

After the completion phase of the fire-fighting system construction works, we provide assistance for the preparation of all necessary documents for the correct installation and proceed with the necessary tests for completing the request for the Fire Prevention Certificate which will be issued by the local command of the Fire Brigade. The fire prevention activities and consultancy services that we offer in this phase are:

  • Tests and safety systems retrieval of all the active fire prevention activities.

  • Functional tests of the fire prevention systems and devices.

  • Fire Prevention Certificate protocol paperwork acquisition and fillup.
