MEP Engineering for electrical and thermomechanical systems

Our MEP Engineering process follows four main steps: the first one is the Plant Engineering Concept, followed by the Design, Plant Engineering Development and Construction phase. Each phase entails specific technical activities, evaluations and analyses.

Plant Works Management and MEP on site Supervision

After the MEP Systems Execution Design that includes all Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems, we carry on with site inspections and on-site technical coordination meetings between the various players involved. Our work supervision activities and MEP Engineering Supervision include multiple tasks, from checking the execution and work progress, to checking the adequacy and quality of materials. More specifically, the following services are included:

MEP Engineering Management Services

  • Work execution Evaluations.
  • Timing Evaluation.

  • MEP Systems construction Progress evaluation in compliance with the project execution and construction.

  • On site meetings to coordinate plant engineering activities with other areas.

  • Material specifications submitted by plant engineers and consistency evaluations with tender specifications.

  • Work progress and material congruence check with project estimates and tenders.

  • Quality control to evaluate compliance with the standards of good practice and with contract’s requirements.

MEP Systems Testing

We carry on MEP Systems functional and performance testing activities on the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and evaluate their compliance with executive projects. Our tests are carried out both during construction, in particular on those parts that will no longer be accessible once the work is completed, as well as at the end of the system installation, to make sure that every element is according to plans and safety regulations. The Testing phase and the relative certifications represent a guarantee of quality and safety for the systems and increase the commercial value of the work.

MEP Engineering for electrical and thermomechanical systems

Our MEP Engineering process follows four main steps: the first one is the Plant Engineering Concept, followed by the Design, Plant Engineering Development and Construction phase. Each phase entails specific technical activities, evaluations and analyses.

After considering the overall structure and infrastructure of the building and its intended use, we design the MEP Systems Concept, first of all identifying all power sources, then the connections with external networks, spaces, technical rooms, shafts and the main plant connections. In this phase, we define the nature of the mechanical and electrical systems and their impact on the final architectural and structural aspects of the project.

Once the Concept Design of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems has been defined, our team of Engineers and Specialists proceeds developing a Preliminary Project of the technological systems, to define all building’s energy needs and power distribution; balancing out the technical plant requirements with all structural and architectural aspects.

It is time to proceed with the final design of the technological systems. In this phase, we define the nature, equipment and performance of all MEP systems and any other special system. We determine a cost estimate for all plant construction works, indicating the quantity and costs to the relative budget to start off with the plant engineering works. Also in this stage, we draft the project documents of the plants for administrative and authorisation purposes. After this, the final plant engineering and related documents are ready.

After sharing and evaluating the definitive project with the Client, revising and amending, we proceed with the fourth and final stage, the Execution Design. In this final Project, you can evaluate Systems Engineering and the development activities to be carried out, quantifying each technical element by type, quality, quantity, specification and price, so much in detail to be valid for tenders. In this phase, we implement all notes and considerations emerged, integrating and coordinating the executive project with the updated architectural plans.
